The Ferny Creek Horticultural Society Garden is set on an expansive piece of land and is best known for its panoramic views of the region and its splendid walking tracks.
The Great Dividing Range is a perfect backdrop for this glorious ornamental garden.

On the opposite end of the garden, an extensive collection of magnolias and azaleas provide a natural welcome. The beautiful shrubs add a distinct character to the garden and are a wonderful contrast to the tall trees. In addition to the shrubs and trees, other alluring features at the garden include the unique rock gardens and the iconic Calluna collection.
The Golden Garden is a must-see while at the gardens, largely because it is home to rare tree species that were planted several decades ago to commemorate the progress made by the Ferny Creek Horticultural Society. There is also a native garden that boasts some of the species unique to Australia, alongside amazing water features that add to the garden’s tranquillity.
The gardens are open to the general public during shows and exhibitions. Group tours are available by appointment only. The gardens are also available as a wedding location. Regular shows are scheduled throughout the year including the Plant Collectors Sale And Garden Expo and the Autumn Show.
