Karwarra Australian Plant Garden And Nursery Address, Kalorama
Karwarra Australian Plant Garden And Nursery was established in 1965 and is one of the few gardens in Victoria where native plants are grown exclusively. As a public garden, Karwarra provides visitors with the unique opportunity to learn how they can use these types of plants to maintain a well-manicured garden at their home all year round.
The plant nursery is well-stocked, and you can purchase most of the varieties that you find in the garden. The best part about visiting this nursery is that the staff are very knowledgeable and can assist you with any questions before purchase.
The function room on location offers a space for community groups and there are BBQs and picnic tables located at Kalorama Memorial Reserve for social gatherings.
Entry is free, but the gardens remain closed on Mondays as well as on days when there is a total fire ban. In extreme weather conditions, the gardens are also closed for safety purposes. Pets are also not permitted in the garden and nursery.
