Kuranga Native Nursery

Kuranga Native Nursery is home to many of the country’s most beautiful native plants and offers nature lovers the opportunity to purchase Australian fauna for their own garden.

The nursery is also home to a cafe and gift shop where you can enjoy a yummy meal or purchase some locally made products.

Walk through the nursery and marvel at the unique beauty and vibrant colours of some of Australia’s most beautiful plants. Interestingly, the nursery building has historic importance as it boasts wharf timbers sourced from the iconic Sydney Harbour with the century-old beams adding to the allure and character of the nursery.

In addition to the nursery, Kuranga is also home to the Paperbark cafe. You can sit indoors in the colder months, or enjoy outdoor seating in the warmer months as you enjoy a tasty meal from their varied menu. The cafe’s seasonal menu makes use of the freshest ingredients sourced locally. Enjoy a tasty wrap, salad or a piece of cake, with tea or coffee.

There is also a gift shop on site where you can purchase Australian produce or plant and gardening books, as well as garden ornaments, bird feeders and nesting boxes.

Kuranga Native Nursery is open from 8:30am to 5pm daily except on Good Friday and Christmas Day. Make your way to 118 York Road, Mount Evelyn for the largest collection of Australia’s best native plants.
