The Olinda Creek Walking Track is one of the popular attractions in the Dandenong Ranges and is a favourite for outdoor lovers.
The walking track traverses the ground between the Silvan Reservoir Park and Mount Evelyn Recreation reserve. The walk can be completed in either direction.

There are also two smaller walks that branch off the Olinda Creek Walking Track; Messmate Walking Track (1.4kms) and Grey Gum Walking Track (2.3km loop).
Whether you are departing or arriving at the Silvan Reservoir Park, bird watchers will enjoy spending time here as you can spot many different species of waterbirds including the spoonbills and long-legged herons. Robins and cockatoos are also common within the park. The Silvan Reservoir Park also has numerous picnic sites where visitors can BBQ with family and friends. It is important for visitors to note that dogs must always be kept on a leash and are not permitted on the walking trails, they must remain in the precincts of the Silvan Reservoir.
So put your walking shoes on, bring some water, snacks and take a couple of hours to take a long walk through the beautiful Dandenong Ranges!
