Located on Dorset Road in the Dandenong Ranges, the Tim Neville Arboretum is a popular playground for visitors to this area.
The arboretum is essentially a fun-filled playground that is designed with children in mind and is a perfect place to spend the weekend. The entire playground is surrounded by a sturdy fence whose access is limited by a child-proof gate to keep the kids safe as they go about their play.

There are also slides and swings for kids who love to play and there are specially designed swings for toddlers, built with safety in mind. There are numerous stepping stones for the kids to have fun with as they try to balance as they make their way across.
Beyond the fenced area, the Tim Neville Arboretum has grassy areas, some under the shade, which offers a picturesque site for picnicking and BBQs. If you just want to relax, then walk down to the pond area and take in the serenity as ducks paddle up and down the pond.
The Tim Neville Arboretum is well equipped to keep your kids playing all day.
Hi does the Tim Neville Arberetumn have power for recharfe of equipnent for Weddings etc near the Gazebo?
Hi Carol,
I visited the place roughly a month ago to take all of the photos you see on the website and looking at all of them in high res, I can’t see any power points around the BBQ area or the Gazebos. I have also checked the Google Street View photos and can’t see anything on there.
Depending on when you need the information by, i can likely swing past there by the weekend and have a look for you (it’s only in Boronia and I live in Lilydale, so it’s not too far). Alternatively, you could reach out to the Knox Council by calling them (03) 9298 8000 or emailing knoxcc@knox.vic.gov.au.
Thanks
Michael
Hi, do you have a diagram map of the aboretum?
Like you have on the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Garden’s Page?
Thanks
Jane
Hi Jane,
Unfortunately no, I don’t have a map of the layout of the Tim Neville Aboretum. The best I can do is a brochure which lists some of the facilities.
Best regards,
Jess
