Knox Festival is a free community event that invites the people of Knox to come together and celebrate community life.
It features a range of activities for the whole family, including interactive workshops, food trucks, thrilling rides, arts play, community stalls, amazing stage programs, and ‘come and try’ activities.

- Basketball Clinic / Dunking Competition – hosted by Koori Basketball Academy (1 pm – 4pm)

- Woodworking Workshop – hosted by the Knox Woodworkers (pay as you go)

A highlight of this year’s event will be the Extended Twilight Program on Saturday from 5pm. Stay for dinner, tunes, and amusement as the sun sets over Wally Tew Reserve.

There will be a fireworks finale at the festival at 9:55pm, and it will last for approximately 6 minutes. This may be overwhelming for some patrons. It’s advised to bring along noise-cancelling headphones, watch from a distance / from a vehicle, or depart the festival with enough time to avert overstimulation from the loud noises.
Please also ensure that any local resident pets are confined to your premises during the fireworks for their welfare and comfort.
There is no public parking at the event. Please walk, ride, or take our free shuttle bus to the festival.
- The best pedestrian entry points are via Burwood Highway and Brenock Park Drive.
- Bike parking is located near the Lyndale Court entry. Please BYO bike lock.
- Accessible parking is located via the Burwood Highway entrance.
A free shuttle bus runs from Ferntree Gully Station to the event at Brenock Park Drive and back. The first bus departs Ferntree Gully Station at 11am and every 20 minutes except at 2:20pm and 6pm.
